Antioxidants Can Impair Muscle Function
Some Antioxidants Reduce Vasodilators:
"Antioxidant therapies that reduce levels of vasodilators will reduce oxygen delivery to muscle.
'We're now learning that if antioxidant therapy takes away hydrogen peroxide – or other naturally occurring vasodilators, which are compounds that help open blood vessels – you impair the body's ability to deliver oxygen to the muscle so that it doesn't work properly,' Poole said.
The body produces free radicals to serve signaling functions. Unfortunately these same free radicals damage us."

Vitamin C and E Supplementation And Insulin Sensitivity
Four Ways to Jack Up Insulin Sensitivity:
Vitamin C and E supplementation post-workout may not be a good idea.
"In this study, 40 young men exercised five days a week (50 minute sessions including cycling and circuit training) for four weeks. The addition of vitamin C and E supplementation in that group completely eliminated the beneficial insulin-sensitizing effects of exercise!
With further investigation it seems that the post-workout increase in reactive oxygen species (ROS) — which is blunted by C and E supplementation — is a necessary phenomenon for increasing insulin sensitivity. The argument for the temporal benefit of ROS post-workout is strengthened by the fact that long term antioxidant supplementation has been shown to increase insulin sensitivity."

Cholesterol-rich Foods Help You Gain Muscle
Seven Things You Need to Know About Fats:
"They fed older guys (in their 60's) extra cholesterol-rich foods and had them train with weights. Those who had higher cholesterol diets gained more lean mass than those who trained but didn't eat the cholesterol-rich foods."
Cholesterol it is not bad it is necessary. It's converted into Vitamin D by sunlight, and it's the precursor for steroid hormones like testosterone.

Calcium Supplementation Increase Testosterone Levels
Testosterone levels in athletes at rest and exhaustion: effects of calcium supplementation[Biol Trace Elem Res. 2009] - PubMed result:
Calcium boosts testosterone.
"Our results show that training results in increased testosterone levels in athletes and that the increase is greater if accompanied by calcium supplementation, which may be useful for increasing overall athletic performance."

Alpha-GPC Potentiates Growth Hormone
Alphagpc - SupplementNews.org:
"Alpha-GPC has been used over the past decade to enhance cognition and memory. The dietary supplementation of Alpha GPC has been studied as an alternative treatment in various age-related conditions, including dementia, and cerebrovascular and Alzheimer's disease. Its mechanism of action is by the potentiation of growth hormone from the hypothalamus. It is thought to be particularly useful for elderly individuals, as they exhibit lower secretions of growth hormone with age. It may also be beneficial for individuals who wish to increase muscle mass via increased secretion of growth hormone"
L-Alpha Glycerylphosphorylcholine (Alpha GPC, choline alfoscerate) is a natural choline compound.
Food source (100 g) Amount of Choline (mg)
Eggs 251
Wheat Germ 152
Bacon 125
Dried Soybeans 116
Pork 103
Cod 83
Beef 80
Chicken 70
Salmon 65

Vitamin A May Boost The Levels Of Testosterone
Vitamin A:The Forgotten Bodybuilding Nutrient:
Vitamin-A is essential to muscle-building. It is necessary for the utilization of protein and the production of testosterone and other growth factors.
"...one human study, discussed below, found the administration of vitamin A and iron to have results equivalent to the administration of testosterone itself."
Natural vitamin-A can be found in foods such as liver and food-based supplements such as cod liver oil.
